Get Frocked: 1950’s Day Wear
While shopping this week I came across a vintage 1950’s dress that I just had to buy: Swing II Pink, from 1-800-Betties Vintage Clothing. I’ve been suffering from Spring Fever and this dress was the perfect remedy.
I love vintage 1950’s full skirted dresses. They were especially popular in cotton satin seersucker fabrics with floral and botanical prints, such as cabbage roses, autumnal leaves or green ferns. This one comes in solid colors, but I find the combination of pink and black lace intriguing.

Swing II Pink, a full skirted 1950's dress
The calf-length, small-waisted, lustrous cotton sateen Swing II reminds me of garden parties, maypoles and the soft pink of tea roses — all the nice things that come with spring.

Black Lace Gloves
When you buy it, you’ll receive glitch pants, a strapless top and a swing skirt, plus a set of black lace gloves that match the lace that runs along the edges of the bust, the bottom of the skirt and the wider band of lace that circles the narrow waist.

The dress is also available in red, white, blue, black, purple and cream; it’s perfect for all of your spring parties and dances.
