BODY BASICS: Making a Great Skin Unique

Every woman in SecondLife™ has at one time or another had an Eloh Eliot skin. Most dont realize but Eloh is a wonderful skin maker who did a really amazing thing. She put her skins as openware so that designers could enhance them as they see fit. All you have to do is give her credit for the basic design because, well she deserves that. Her .png file comes with multiple layers you can sort through for a infinite amount of choices; or, you can just start with a base and add your own design.

Angel Fairy

I have a friend named GypsyRainbow Nightfire of Hectic Moon Designs who got the great idea to take the designs and enhance them to match her line of clothing. She is a unique designer using real life artwork created by her husband as the texture base of many of her designs. I ran into Gypsy in her store with my sister and we got to talking and she decided to show me how she had already taken a beautiful skin and made it better. She had spent a while perfecting her designs, and was very pleased with the end result. So, because she is the focus of the March 1, 2009 Graduation Fashion Show, I felt I should give her a proper introduction here, at least her skins and some of her clothes.

Spider Queen

My personal favorite is the Spider Queen. It has a pale gothic skin with minimal makeup but a wonderful spiderweb design throughout the body. All of her designs have a muted makeup but subtle and beautiful designs that enhance the already flawless skin that Eloh has worked so hard to create. She has 4 ranges for sale at this time: Fairy (Angel, Candy, Forest and Winter), Priestess (Freckled, Fresh, Golden and Gothic), Neko (Bronze, Golden and Platinum), and the beautiful Spider Queen. While you are in there checking out her skins take a look at her really wonderful clothes and on the top level, the gallery of her husband’s artwork. It is amazing what can be done with light, it is all very beautiful. And if you are lucky, you will see Miss Gypsy herself posing on the model stand and if you ask, she will tell you all about her husband’s artwork and why it inspires her to make such wonderful things in SecondLife™.

Eloh Eliot’s skins already created and ready to be purchased can be found at the Gunbie Store and downloadable from her blog: eloheliot.blogspot.com
