Lookr heads back to its roots!
I began working in the fashion industry in March. It wasn’t long into my fashion career that I stumbled across a store I fell in love with. My excitement for these designs has only increased over the months. I’ve spent many, many shopping trips browsing the Lookr racks over and over. I followed the store as it merged with Amodica to create a shopping super store and I’m pleased to announce the opening of Lookr’s new store as it’s branched back into it’s own brand.
Adam Soler and Fayne Khandr have taken the Lookr clothing line back to it’s roots. After recently leaving the Amodica line, they’ve taken the underwater shop design we once loved when Lookr began and upgraded it to a new, improved underwater clothing store. The store is like nothing you’ve seen in SL before or since the previous Lookr. The gorgeous chandeliers and antique inspired furniture create a lush setting for us Lookr fanatics to shop.
The setting is not by far the best part of Lookr, though. The clothing is what really keeps me coming back. Adam Soler has created a line of clothing that is so perfectly textured it looks real. His t-shirts are far from the plain tees you see flooding SL; they are shaded and given folds in all the right areas. You want to climb in his clothes and never leave.
Wearing: Lookr Shirt Safari, jeans by Cake, boots from Abyss, hair from Dernier Cri, cuffs by AlphaMale, necklace by Ricx’s, and earrings by Burroughs.
This has become the first place I go when I just need to unwind and shop. It’s here I walk the halls, gaze at the racks of my favorite tee-shirts, and am reminded of the things that make Second Life clothing design so amazing. Lookr is one of the clothing lines that still gives you that peek into the designer’s soul. With the religious print on the shirts and the enormous amount of energy given to each design, we get to see a side of Adam Soler that perfectly shines through his creations. And isn’t that what so many of us love about Second Life (TM)? Sharing ourselves and learning of others.
